It was a tight battle; but they then turned around and beat Cameron Heights J union by a score of 5860. in February. these Twisters and other stu- dents will be participating in the "Jump Rope for Heart Marathon" to be held at Laurel. Each student will skip a total ofthree hours. There are 6 people to a group. The group that collects the largest amount of pledges will receive nice prizes, such as, track suits, gym bags and t- shirts. We have a new dance group at Laurel. It is a group of 12 girls. They all dance three times a week in preparation for the athletic assembly being held on January 20. There will also be a dance contest in February for anyone who likes to dance. INS talent show will be held in March for teachers and students who want to be in it. The Twisters are Laurel's skipping group consisting of Itt girls involved in the activity. The girls work out on class time as well as a special club program. They work out three times a week learning different prepared routines as well as their own. They will be performing in the athletic assembly. The following high schools are represent- ed: Bluevale. East- wood. Forest Heights, Grand River, Preston High, Waterloo Colle- giate, St. Jerome's and St. Mary's High. The insanely unique all-male dance com- pany Les Ballet Trock. adero De Monte Carlo is bringing its act to Centre in the Square this Sunday at 8 p.m. Les Ballet Trocka- dero is famous for its clever spoofs of classi- cal ballet and modern dan'ce including a "rampaging" Giselle. a Swan Lake replete with moulting. swans. simpering ballerinas and dancers crawling under the piano, as Wendy Wenzlawski Technique is the key to the exhibit. The stu- dents have created works using methods such as silk screening. etching, embossing and woodcutting to reflect a variety of themes. The exhibition is a recognition of the artis- tic activity in print- making at area high schools, and will allow the young regional ar- tists responsible a chance to meet and exchange ideas. High school print- making, an exhibition of works by regional students is featured at the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery from now until February 27. Thanks to everyone who helped make Casino Knight successful in its first year. Grades nine and ten enjoyed an assembly last period on Monday. sponsored by the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Association.
