E. at Pandora, Kitchener, $79â€"1930 The report puts forth in all 41 recommenâ€" dations in order to assist in the system‘s recovery. One of them would appoint a select committee of the Legislature to study the status of physicians as a selfâ€"governing profession. Recommendations A startling report of this province‘s health care system was released August 25th by the Liberal Committee on Health Care. Titled, "On the Critical List‘", the report reveals that the system is in a state of decline, and the health of Ontario‘s citizens is at risk. The terms of reference for the committee would include an appropriate negotiating structure for the profession, terms of work, including the right to withdraw services, alternatives to the feeâ€"forâ€"service model, implications of extraâ€"billing, OHIP adminâ€" istration, the CPSO and Health Discipline Board roles, composition and procedures. Much of the discontent among health professionals, social workers and the like centers around the lack of sufficient Government funding for the expansion and renovation of hospitals struggling to keep up with the latest technological advances in medical equipment, overâ€"crowding due to reductions in the number of beds, and the inability to provide standard medical care because of growing waiting lists for surâ€" gery. Predictions for the future seem bleak as the growing numbers of our aging populaâ€" tion will put an even greater strain on our health care facilities. Other recommendations are to appoint Jvc The NEW JVC KSâ€"R3 AM/FM car stereo cas sette player is loaded with features like bass and treble controls, Dolby Noise Reducton, builtâ€"in 4 speaker faber, metol tape capability, music scon, FM muting, 12 watts per chonnel and of course the great sound JVC is known for ness of these two AM/‘M stereo inâ€"dash w,‘.,m,‘*,’y Jvc The NEW JVC KSâ€"RS5 AM/FM car stereo cas sette player is loaded with all the same feo tures as the KSâ€"R3 above plus autoâ€"reverse and 5 station pushbutton tuning Now is the hme to replace thot thin sounding AM radio in your car with the dynomic full Car stereo instaliation shoutd be done correctâ€" ty by a qualified profeszional. Hospital officials have already expressed grave concern over the ability to effectively meet the growing demand for medical care in Kitchenerâ€"Waâ€" terloo and maintain the same standard of care as in the past. Clearly, unless urgent attention is paid to the deteriorating condition of the system and the declining morale of members of the health care team, the situation will only get worse. coming achve months +159 amangement boards representative of the community, to govern the Ontario psychiaâ€" tric hospitals, to revise and enforce nursing home standards, making public the results of nursing home inspections, accelerate the expansion of chronic home care and OHIPâ€"insurable homemaking for the frail elderly and all disabled adults. Most affected by the inability to expand physically are the cardiac, intensive care, emergency, physiotherapy and radiology units which are reportedly not functioning satisfactorily. Hospital officials have indiâ€" cated that in some areas of the hospital, they are operating at oneâ€"third to oneâ€"fourth of the optimum size and do not foresee ‘any changes till the end of the 1980‘s.
