Waterloo peewee Pirates rebounded from a loss to Brantâ€" ford to gain a wellâ€" earned win over Guelph in Interâ€"County play last week. On Sunday, Waterloo tâ€"Bball allâ€"stars stretched their unbeaâ€" ten streak to 11 games by defeating Kitchener Stanley park 2511 in exhibition play. The local squad started slowly but by the third inning were playing the aggressive baseball that has charâ€" acterized their season so far. In the process, Waâ€" terloo‘s offense got unâ€" tracked and produced 22 runs games. After winning a 7â€"6 squeaker in Brantford several weeks earlier, Pirates were unable to stop the hardâ€"hitting Telephone City squad here in Waterloo. Brantford rapped out 18 hits and built up a 16â€"4 lead before Pirates countered with a sevenâ€"run last inning rally to close the marâ€" gin to 16â€"11. Wednesday‘s 11â€"4 win over Guelph featured superb pitching by Gord Harris and steady defensive play by his teammates.
