He is coâ€"founder of the Kâ€"W Junior Mathematics League; first chairman of the Waterioo County Mathâ€" ematics Association; coâ€"author of handâ€" books, preparedness tests and a correspondâ€" ence course at the Uniâ€" versity of Waterloo; and an active member of the local teachers‘ federation. "I‘m certainly very pleased. Certainly it‘s gratifying to receive recognition .... When asked during an interview yesterday how he found time to be involved in so many school and community activities, Baumgart dow nplayed his achievements and humbly replied: ‘"You just need enough years ...
