Minty is the director of Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre's pro- duction of The Little Foxes which opens to morrow night (Feb. 4) at the Victoria Park Pavilion. Minty says the main reason he's always wanted to stage The Little Foxes is because "it's a very strong play." And being an actor's play makes it "good competitive material," 'Ht's an actor's play." RESTAURANT' Minty acknowledges The production is in competition in this year's Western Ontario D r a m a L e a g u e (WODL) festival, the finals of which K-ty Little Theatre itself will be hosting next month. Minty says, however. that he would have been happy to direct The Little Foxes in whatever slot of the season the group had available. Although an active member of the KW group for some 30 years. this is only the fourth production he will have directed for the group, and the first festival entry. Two of his previous productions for the Lit- tle Theatre have been larees - Move Over, Mrs. Markham and The Fourth Monkey - while the third - Lear ing Home - was an- other drama. "lt's a play you could do with no make-up and no set and it would still be a good play. This is the same play that was recently re- vived on Broadway, with Elizabeth Taylor heading the cast. Minty says he's got "a pretty good cast," including a majority of players who will be familiar to KW Little Theatre audiences.
