Wind soloists perform The Kâ€"W Chamber Music Society will present the Festival Wind Soloists at The Studio in Kitchener‘s Centre in the Square this Friday and Saturâ€" day, June 26 and 27 at 8 30 : LONG e & Â¥ YEARS \PaX_ The performers inâ€" clude many of Canâ€" ada‘s outstanding wind players, including Jeanne Baxtresser, flute, Peter Bowman, oboe, James Campbell, clarinet, David Carroll, bassoon and Frederick Rizner, horn. As well, Paul Helmer, pianist from McGill Universiâ€" ty, will accompany the solists in several pieces. Selections will range from Baroque to modâ€" ern, with works by Handel, Rossini, Ibert and others. Art Freund (right) was given a silver mug Mond ay atter retiring trom 30 years in volvement with the Kâ€"W Symâ€" phony Orchestra. The symphony‘s general manager Andrew Shaw made the presenâ€" tation at the Granite Club prior to the orâ€" chestra‘s annual meeting.
