Waterloo Team Sports managâ€" er Al Miffliin isn‘t surprised with the slow start his club has had in Inter City Fastball league play, but figures the team "has to start getting their act together pretty soon." The Juniors split a pair of contests this past week, putting their ICFL record at 26 for the season. "Our slow start is understandâ€" able considering we had seven or eight players go over age," says Mifflin. "We‘ll be fine once we gain a little more experience. "I still think our pitching will be our strongest asset down the road." Last Wednesday in St. Clemâ€" ents, Team Sports pounded Stratâ€" ford 10â€"4 while Friday in Guelph, Waterloo dropped a 6â€"1 decision to the Royal City Juniors. Don Stebbings went six innings before being ejected to pick up the pitching decision against Stratford. Bill Hanes worked the last three innings after Stebbings had been bounced by the umpire for something he said to a Stratford player. Bob Fleming was three for three including a double for Team Sports while Brent Snyder and Joe Coyle both went two for three. Between them, the two Waterâ€" loo hurlers scattered nine Stratâ€" ford hits. Stebbings fanned seven batters while Hanes struck out five. Waterloo travelled to Guelph minus six players and the shortâ€" every Saturday morning from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. (commencing September 19, 1981) A team of experienced teachers will instruct students in learning to speak, read and write German. Beginners classes will be offered from Kindergarten (age 5 by December 31, 1981) up to age 13. Advanced classes up to age 16. GERMAN FOR ADULTS will also be offered for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced students.
