His biggest hit was a twoâ€"run scoring single which tied the first game against Windsor, a base hit which led largely to him being selected MVP for that game. He also collected a double and two singles in the final game onslaught. ‘‘The big difference in the final (win over Toronto) was that the guys got together as a team on Sunday. we weren‘t really playing as a unit in the first two games but we got to know each other better Saturday night and that helped,"" said the Expo catcher. Speaking of excelient pitching, Greg McEachern of Expos pitched his finest game in a Waterloo uniform Thursday in Guelph to lead Waterloo to a 3â€"2 win over Guelph, improving Expos mark to 16â€"5 atop the Iâ€"C standings.
