Patty Mcintosh was back on the mound and allowed only three hits to lead Waâ€" terloo to a 42 win. Waterloo started off strong as Jane Reble scored on Moira Johnâ€" ston‘s single in the first inâ€" ning. They added three more in the second. Debbie Hannah and Nancy Mcâ€" Callum scored on Patty Mcintosh‘s double, and then Richmond Hill fumbled Janet White‘s hit to bring Patty home. That lead held up for the win. . Moira Johnston was top batter with a .588 average on 10 hits in 17 at bats. _ She continues the fine form she has had throughout the year which sees her batâ€" ting .419 in league action. A somewhat surprisins but very deserving awar was the MVP selection. Sharon _ Ratcliffe, Waâ€" terloo‘s senior player, is very unassuming but has always been one of the team‘s steadiest players. In last year‘s intermediate championships her defence was brilliant. This year she came up with more of the same. Playing first and third she handled the ball 32 times without an error, and combined it with a .385 batâ€" ting average to take the honor. It was a satisfying weeâ€" kend for Waterloo, and along with Lakefield and Ohsweken, they look forâ€" ward for a successful senior tournament and much supâ€" port from local fans as the event â€"will be hosted by Kitchener Kieswetters. In league play last week, Kâ€"W Civitans scored four runs in the ninth to beat Morrisom 8â€"5. Waterloo is home to face Goderich tonâ€" ight at 8 p.m. at Centennial park.
