In early Interâ€"City Fastâ€" Waterloo CHYM‘rs were tossed on the discard heap of the Woodstock fastball tournament after four games last weekend. _. â€" But by that second win, CHYM‘rs had already lost a 6â€"3 decision to Woodstock Tornadoes and Sundayâ€" were eliminated from further competition when they dropped a 6â€"0 decision. to Norwich. CHYM‘rs recorded two wins, both over Lorain, Ohio by scores of 12â€"1 Friday and 5â€"4 Saturday afternoon. In the first win over Lorain, CHYM‘r pitcher John Dietrich allowed a leadâ€"off homer in the first inning but then limited Lorain to only two other hits as Waterioo rolled to the easy win. Dietrich himself had a twoâ€"run homer in the fifth and Hogie Umlandt also homered while Steve Uberig collected two singles and a double.
