She will be working in the coming year in Ottawa, doing research and general- ly assisting members in their constituency and par- liamentary duties. The Waterloo native is a M-year-old graduate in poli- tical science of the Univer- sity of Waterloo. She is the daughter pf Bernard and Maria van der Hoff of the city. . After graduating in 1979, van der Hoff entered the MA. program in political science at Waterloo. MPs enthusiastically sup- port the internship pro- gram. To have an, intem as- signed to oneself is regarded by most as something of a coup. . The good politican can usually find plenty of con- structive work for the stu- dent to do.
