There is no doubt in my mind that Khomeini is but a puppet used by the Russians. He does what he is told. He was in France for a long time. Heaven knows what promises he received from Russia to return from exile. The Iranian people would never oppose the Uâ€"S.A. and keep the hostages for such a long time if they had no backing from someone else â€" and we know who that is by now. The American hostages will not be released until the Russians say so (of course they are still lingering in the background) â€" the time is not yet right for them.
