Somerville is the UNICEF chairperson in the Waterloo area, and she exâ€" pressed thanks to all the people involved with this year‘s collection which will be used to aid children throughout the world. Donations to this year‘s UNICEF fund are still being accéepted. People wishing to donate can do so at 191 Verâ€" mont St., Waterioo. Over $8,500 was raised at a charity auction on Saturâ€" day, Nov. 10 at Woodland Christian High School in Breslau, Ont. The auction was attended by nearly 300 people and was held to raise funds to help pay for the school‘s new faâ€" cilities. The new school, formerly known as Cambridge Disâ€" trict Christian High School, is now located on a 10â€"acre site just off highway 7 in Breslau. The auction featured arâ€" ticles including a 1966 Ford Mustanng, Royal Doulton fiâ€" gurines, a snowmobile, sewâ€" ing machines, furniture, paintings, gift certificates and stereo equipment.
