Victor Stanton is a wellâ€" known local theatre person who has been active with the Kâ€"W Little Theatre and has also worked for several newspapers. According to Ms. Wrixon, both founders of TwoPlus Players enjoyed working in community amateur theaâ€" tre, but felt they‘d like to beâ€" come professionals. So they founded the theatre comâ€" pany recently. The first professional enâ€" gagement for the players will be their production of The Owl and the Pussycat at the Waterloo Motor Inn. It will star Victor Stanton and local actress Hillary Spenâ€" ce, and will be directed by Thelma Wrixon. The Owl and the Pussycat is a popuâ€" lar comedy that was made into a movie several years ago. Ms. Wrixon says starting a professional theatre group in the Waterloo area isn‘t an easy job since the market is relatively small. But she feels that the district is ready for a group like the Twoâ€"Plus Players, and says she and coâ€"founder Victor Stanton find the job challenging.
