Thursday and Friday, events were held during the lunch periods for the Year l's which included Jello eating contests, a shoe scramble. and a Limbo con- test. Friday night a dance was held just for Year ‘1 students and the turnout was excellent. At the dance. a scavenger hunt was held to get the new students ac- customed to the school. Winners were Sarah Shor- treed IF. Susan Munro IE. Paul Witzel IG and Barry Freiburger 1A. These people won a free yearbook each for completing the hunt in 15 minutes, The home form with the most participants during Welcome Week was,Mr, Nichol's IE, and for their super effort, every student received a 50e coupon for the Tuck shop. - Thursday after sch'ool, Year 2 Intramural Pushball was held. Duane Knapp and Rob Newton of 2K were the winners with Peter Hildebrand 2A. Steve Singh 2K, and Greg Moses 2E putting in a fine performance. Last week was dubbed 'Wel- come Week' and all events were geared toward wel- coming the Year 1's and all new students to BLuevale.
