Debbie Boyce was the winning pitcher, and Pau- line Bain was on the mound for the Homes. Monday night, Kitchener Civitans hosted Homes at Wilson Park, but it was too little too late for the Homes as Civitans thumped them 8- Going into the eighth trail- ing 7-1, Homes managed to pull in three additional runs, but they were cut short leav- ing three runners on base. First baseman Mary Reinhart hit a double and a triple in four times at bat‘ lead the Homes' batters. Pauline Finder hit two sin- gles. Reinhart also figured in a double play with short- stop Nancy McCallum, when McCallum scooped up a hard driven ball to tag Ci- vitans' Donna Hammer at second base. A quick throw to Reinhart at first base for the out completed the dou- ble play. Reinhart also brought in two of the Dutch- men ms.
