Or buying one Wintario ticket in your life and watching the right numbers roll up on the screen. Odds are a funny thing. Take three weeks ago at the 19th annual World Banâ€" tam Bowling championships in Guelph. There were 72 teams in each of a boys and girls division and the chanâ€" ces of the same centre winâ€" ning both divisions were at best remote, more probably infinitesimal. But 10 gritty little compeâ€" titors from Waterloo Bowlâ€" ing Lanes pulled off the Bimarâ€"impossible by sweepâ€" Members of Waterioo Bowling Lanes proudly display trophies won at the World Bantam Bowling championships in Guelph. The boys finished with a 1925 aggregate to finish a comfortable 65 pins ahead of Islington Plantation Bowl. Members of the team were Mark Nichols, Michael Banâ€" non,. Yale Belanger, Cam Thomas and Doug Dyet. Thomas had high double (255â€"233â€"488) while Belanger was third with a 451. The girls‘ squad was enâ€" gaged in a tighter battle, finâ€" ishing with an 1840 total, 34 ahead of Scarboro Parkway Bowlerama. Cindy Ward was third high double with a 233â€"204â€"437 total. Other members were Pam Schell, Shelley Brohman, Pauline Levean and Diane Tucker.
