Tuesâ€" day, at the Central Western Ontario Ski Meet, Bluevale skiers performed with disâ€" tinction. In Alpine events, our girls‘ team placed second and our boys‘ team finished third. Sharon Berg paced the girls with her second place finish in both slalom and giant. slalom events. Other strong performances were turned in by Sherry Berg, Beth Morris and Sue Doering. S Peter Doering placed seâ€" cond in both boys‘ races. Ron Beaudry and Marty Taylor placed high on the finish list. In crossâ€"country events, our girls‘ team placed eighthAnd the boys ninth. Karen Rogers led the girls with Erika Schwengers. Tracy Al Salzman and Diane Csombes finishing well. Leon Irish topped the boys‘ entry with good reâ€" sults from Wayne Wistler. Ralph Schwengers, Dave Ball and Steve Weiss. Out of 17 participating crossâ€" country teams, our overall finish was second. Mike West was the junior mens‘ champion winning the 50 m. freestyle backstroke and 50 m. freestyle. Both Julie and Mike set records in their events. The senior men had a tie for individual champion. John Ashton won the 100 m. freestyle and 50 m. freestyle while John Bech won the 100 m. butterfly and 200 m. inâ€" dividual medley. Others who did well inâ€" clude Coleen Oesch, Jeff Smith, Wendy Owens, Kate George and Laurie Whiâ€" tewood. Congratulations to the entire team. You did very well.
