Some fifteen years ago, Larry, his wife Carol, and two youngâ€" sters moved to the border city of Fort Erie and it was not until this season that Waterloo was again so inâ€" fluenced by the family. Youngster Grant has deâ€" veloped into a strapping 6 1°â€"185 pound young man. and was lured back to Waâ€" terloo by the highly touted Business Administration program at Wilfrid Laurier University. Grant‘s graduaâ€" tion from Fort Erie Seconâ€" dary School last year enaâ€" bled him to continue on to higher education and acâ€" cordingly it was back to Waâ€" terloo. Grant‘s value to the team can best be expressed by his past performance which if duplicated this year, «cerâ€" tainly puts him in line for consideration as the team‘s Most Valuable performer. Last year, as a member of the Fort Erie Junior B team,. he notched 43 goals and added 69 assists in Niaâ€" gara District competition. and emerged as the team scoring leader and coâ€" recipient of the team‘s M.V.P. award. Prior to junâ€" ior eligibility, Grant toiled for the Fort Erie minor hockey association, with the highlight occuring in his Midget year when the team skated to an Allâ€"Ontario Championship. For his efâ€" forts, he was invited to the Toronto Marlboro Major ‘‘*A"" camp the following year. However, despite a fine tryout with the team. As well, he. is employed by the Fort Erie Recreation Department, the ideal sumâ€" mer position for the dedicatâ€" ed athlete.
