When the extraâ€"curricular music program of the Uniâ€" versity of Waterloo comes to an end next summer, Conrad Grebel College will step into the gap, according to President Frank Epp: He told his Board of Goâ€" vernors on Deéc. 1 that the College "has in place most of what is required to reâ€" spond positively to the preâ€" sent situation‘‘. The competition, a biennial project sponsored by the English and French service division of the CBC in coâ€"operation with the Canada Counecil, attracted 60 entrants from across Canada this year. The choir was awarded second prize in its class, since no choir quaâ€" lified for the first prize. Helen â€" Martens, the choir‘s leader and founding director, is an accomplished pianist and choral director and a Professor of Music at Conrad Grebel College on the University of Waterloo campus.
