Mr. Snyder‘s paintings, as well as his black and white sketches, have brought the artist international fame. He is currently preparing an exhibition of 30 paintings to be shown at Ontario House and Canada House in Lonâ€" don, England next June. His sketches have recentâ€" ly been published by Sand Hills Press as an art book entitled Mennonite Coountry They were donated last Friday by the internationalâ€" ly known Waterloo artist, Peter Etril, Snyder, who painted the scenes at the college, often with student onâ€"lookers during Kiy two years as artistâ€"inâ€"residence. Dr. Stulberg has been invited to speak to the November meeting of the Kitchenerâ€"Waterloo Philatelic Society, which includes more than 100 stamp collectors from the twin city area. One of Canada‘s ‘ ~ding stamp collectors will speak in Kitchenerâ€"Waterloo on Thursday. Nov. 9, and everyone is welcome. ‘‘Creature from the Black Lagoon," a play directed by science fiction master Jack Arnold will be presented on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 8 p.m. in the Humanities Theatre at UW. The film is presented in 3â€"D complete with 3â€"D glasses. Also Hardware Wars, special effects are made with common household appliances. The films are part of the International Film series. Membership is $2 and film fee $1.50. Students and seniors admission is $1.
