Designed by a heraldry ex- pert in Moncton N.B., the coat of arms includes symbols from the MacDonald family coat of arms. The crown represents Christ the King and the waves represent the waters of Bras D'ore Lakes in Cape Breton. Bishop MacDonald was born on the shore of these lakes.
