You could save yourself some money, and also be actually doing what you beâ€" lieve everyone should do . . . . . conserving. Need some ideas on what one person (or one family ) can do? Maybe I can help you. Sometimes we feel helpless because there seems to be so much that should be done, changed and cleaned up. If each and everyone of us would start being conservers and would work on conserving at the individual level, we would be a lot farther ahead. If every house in Waâ€" terloo turned their thermostat to 63 degrees F at night and 68 degrees F during the day, at a 15% savâ€" ing on the annual fuel bill per house, imagine how much fue} Waterloo as a whole would save? Aerosols also improve your chances to contact lung cancer. Not only that but aerosols are liable to damage your body‘s surface by dissolving fats and removing natural oils which causes skin irritation. So there you have it, one third of the aerosol can being poisonous and two thirds of it causing environmental damage. The aerosol can creates a disposal problem and is also explosive. Subtle Ways to Avoid Energy Waste f 1) If you‘re cooking meat, make sure that it has been thawed out thoroughly. Splurge the money you saved on heating bills on a nice pressure cooker or waste less. Make sure to match pot size to burner. A small pot on a big burner means heat goes up the side and is wasted; A big pot on a small burner means the stove has to work harderâ€"to heat whatever is in the pot. * 2) Try to use appliances only when necessary, usâ€" ing human power whenever possible . . . there is no shortage of human energy!‘!‘‘‘Can you think of anyâ€" thing else you can do???????
