On Monday the Cubs playâ€" ed host to Preston and regisâ€" tered their 13th win. Preston opened the scorâ€" ing with 8 seconds left in the first period with a goal by Robert Gaasbeek from Doug King and Darrin Walish. In the third period Peter Bauer scored from Chris Paranyi to tie the game at 1â€"1. Scott Smith put the Cubs out front 2â€"1 with a goal from Kevin McGraw and Brad Steven. Scott Smith then scored his second goal of the game from Brad Steven to give the Cubs a 3â€"1 lead in the game. Tim Horton Cubs lose, 1 Falcons down Brantford, Preston, lose to Kitchener The Komets opened the scoring with 5:31 left in the first period by Geoff Goodâ€" man from Brian Pedlar. On Saturday the Cubs travâ€" elled to Stratford and were tied 3â€"3 ~to give the ‘Tim Horton‘ Cubs a 13â€"1â€"1 record in League play. In the second period Robâ€" bie Kempel opened the scorâ€" ing in the game with a goal from Mike Ruppe for a 1â€"0 score in favour of the Cubs. Stratford tied the game at 1â€"1 with a goal by John Noble Larry Turnbull scored unâ€" assisted for Brantford for a 5â€"3 score in favour of the Falcons. â€" The Falcons then got goals by Jamie Riley from Gerry Blake and Adam Albright and Ron Young unassisted for a final score of 7â€"3 in their favour. On Thursday the Falcons travelled to Preston for a Hub League game and came home with a 7â€"4 win. In the first period the Falâ€" cons out scored Preston 4â€"2 to take the lead in the game. Scoring for Preston were Bob Downey unassisted and Dave Lahey from Tony Jamieson. For the Falcons Rob Richâ€" ardson scored from Gerry Blake, Ron Young scored from Rob Richardson and Gerry Blake, Kevin Hergott scored from Terry Glass and Jamie Riley and Jamie Riâ€" ley scored from Terry Glass. In the second period the Falcons took a 5â€"2 lead with a goal by Dave Young from Waterloo Square from Craig Schiemmer in the second period. In the third period the Cubs went ahead 2â€"1 with a goal by Randy Weiler from Peter Bauer. In net for the ‘Tim Horton‘ Cubs were Mike McNeice and Dean Fielding.
