In the fashion world of Halloween, stylish ghouls at this year‘s Monster Mash will be spending upwards of $20 to make the bestâ€"dressed list. And for those who want the complete look, Stag Novelties offers headâ€"toâ€" toe costumes for rent, the only place between here and Stratford in the costume business. Prices here start at $8. and range upwards. This is the first year costumes _ have _ been available. Peter said he had dozens of phone calls every day last year from people wanting to rent costumes. "It got so bad I had to take the phone off the hook." The rubber masks have gained in popularity the last two or three years, Mr. Horea says. Last year he sold 600 of the gaudy false faces, and expects to unload 1,000 this year. The ultimate. a comâ€" plete gorilla suit. can be rented for $25. The movie ‘Star Wars‘ has spurned a demand for _ outlandish _ space creature masks, but U.S. distributors couldn‘t get them shipped out in time, so they‘re not available in Canada this year.
