After the usual early studies in pianoforte, he â€" completed his training for the organ and harpsichord in the City of London. He was then appointed Organist and Choirmaster at St. Mark‘s parish church where he remained for five years. _‘ Turning to the world of entertainment, he became the featured artist in several of London‘s leading night clubs, and toured Germany, entertaining on the American Air Force bases. s In 1962 he was appointed Director of Music for the City of Folkestone. In this capacity he put together a seventeen piece orchestra which not only accompanied many touring variety shows,but also played for many ceremonious 6ccasions. _ . + As the featured Concert Organist for a leading organ manufacturing Company in London, he travelled approximately 1,000 miles per week, giving promotional concerts in every major city in the United Kingdom playing all kinds of music from Jazz to Classics and demâ€" onstrating the easyâ€"play features. â€" . After a six week tour of Norway which took him from Oslo to the most northern city of ‘‘The Land of the Midnight Sun", Stanley emiâ€" grated to Canada. He is at present living with his Canadian wife in Toronto â€" and was recently featured on CFCA Radio in Kitchener on Jack Carpenter‘s Program ‘"Music Hall . > He has made two record albums both released in England on the Adâ€"Rhythm label, and is now the Concert Organist for Wurlitzer Canâ€" ada where he spends much of his time in sale‘s training and special dealer promotions. These recitals are informal, allowing Stanley ample opportunity to answer questions about Wurlitzers and to demonstrate techniques and special effects. The recital/learning sessions are free to people who wish to grow as musicians.
