Waterloo students made a total of 127 cakes which were disâ€" tributed to the other campuses and served during their open houses on Sunâ€" day afternoon. _ . * Little Theatre to present ‘The Boyfriend‘ in October Five area students graduate from Mohawk The Victoria Park Paâ€" vilion has been the scene of much recent activity as the Kitchener â€" Waterloo Little Theatre stage conâ€" struction and lighting crews moved in lock, stock and Leikos in preparation for next Friday‘s opening of ‘‘The Boyfriend . Five Waterloo students were among the more than 600 who graduated from Mohawk College in Hamilâ€" ton over the weekend . Sharyn Elaine Cassel (nee Mahn), Lesley Jean Goldsâ€" worthy, Randolph Douglas Soth and Patricia Anne Schnarr â€" graduated â€" from Medical Laboratory Techâ€" notogy. _ Richard _ William Lammert completed the Industrial Management Technology course. Convocation was held Friâ€" All the stage lights are hung and focused, the stage is built and braced, and the scenery is finished and in place, costumes The cast of 21 is ready and anxious to step into the spotlight and tell the story of ‘"The Boyfriend"‘. are hung and waiting and the makeâ€"up is neatly arâ€" ranged by the large mirâ€" rors in the dressing room area. Some of the songs from the show include, ‘"*Won‘t you Charleston with me?~ "A â€" Room in â€" Bloomsâ€" bury"" as well as the title song ‘‘The Boyfriend . day at 8 pm. with Wilfrid Race, a former member of the Canadian delegation to the United Nations commisâ€" sion for social developâ€" ment, as guest speaker. The first Mohawk Colâ€" tege honorary diploma was presented to John W. Hazelâ€" ton. Mohawk‘s first presiâ€" dent from 1967 to 1971. Following convocation a reception was held for the graduates, their families, friends and faculty memâ€" bers. Singing those songs, or some of the many others, are Jean Wright as Maâ€" dame â€" Dubonnet, _ David Blythe as Percival Brown, Linda Lehtonen as Polly and Brian Vogt as Tony. Lord and Lady Brockâ€" hurst are portrayed by Bob Minty and Ruth Zinck while Bill McGeagh is Bobby to Irene Mitchell‘s Maisie. If you haven‘t already bought your tickets to see this bright array of vocal talent, tonight is the last night for you to purchase them at the Theatre Box Office, 9 Princess St. East, Waterloo, 7 to 9 p.m. ~ Scribe Bookstores will continue to carry tickets and they can be purchased at the door although there are only limited seats left on some nights.
