Deardra King is a Kitch- ener dancer and champion baton twirler. Her profes- sional baton twirling and dance engagements have taken her with the Canadian Armed Forces troupe Dance Plus Four is a four - member collective based in Kitchener-Water- loo, in which each member contributes as both chore- ographer and dancer. The four talented young dancers, Nancy Forbes, Deardra King, Gabby Miceli and Diana Theodores bring a wide variety of backgrounds and techniques to their work, producing an imagin- ative and diverse repertoire. She has re- viewed dance for various shows to many places in the world and right across Canada. GabtrrMiceli was born in Budapest, Hungary and came to Canada in 1966. She completed her degree in dance at UW. Her ballet training has been with Jil- lian Officer, Lawrence Gradus, Eric Hurst and Lois Smith and her modern dance technique and compo- sition with Ruth Priddle. Judy Jarvis, Toronto Dance Theatre, Til Thiele and Maxine Sheets. She is currently teaching modern dance technique at the Uni- versity of Waterloo.
