Elizabeth Wood became involved in providing a â€" recreational program for the children when not in school. They learned crafts, art, music and gymnastics. Most had never experienced play or any â€" activities â€" such â€" as these. suspicious."‘ Pueblito children _ join school classes in the comâ€" munity of Paraiso and, surprisingly, a very high percentage pass their first school year. bouse has a family of ten little ones. The children made a big adjustment to the pueblito. They quickly accept both the parents and the homes. This is extremely remarkâ€" able according to Miss Wood because most chilâ€" dren come to the pueblito with ‘"‘deep emotional probâ€" lems, especially the older was a lot of good she could do here. She is the national coâ€"ordinator for Pueblito Canada with an office in Toronto. Her duties here include â€"telling Canadians hives and a successful bakery. The pueblito sells baked goods in the comâ€" munity to raise extra monâ€" ey for clothing and other necessities. Elizabeth Wood came back to Canada three months ago.
