By Peggy Kempel The Waterloo Jr. Expos played back-to-back games with the Kitchener Dodgers last week. The Dodgers defeated the Expos 4-1 in Waterloo and the Expos defeated the Dodgers 11-4 in Kitchener. Then the Ex- pos played host to the Strat- ford Optimists and defeat- ed them 6-2. In Waterloo the Expos took a 1-0 lead after one inning of play. Then in the third inning the Dodgers scored twice to take a 2-1 lead. In each of the fourth and sixth innings the Dodgers scored one run to take the game 4-1. The Dodgers scored their four runs off 8 hits with one batter walking and one batter striking out. Four Dodgers hit doubles. They were Wynn Stigter, John Ariss, Gary Hallman and Jim Gibbons. Singles were hit by Mickey Iroziowski, Paul Hummel, Rick Riediger and Dave Zmija. The Expos scored their lone run off four hits and three walks and seven bat- ters struck out. The four singles for the Expos wiire credited to Mike Yosurack, Marc Thiel. Jim Taylor and Brian Schnurr. In the eighth inn- ing the teams exchanged runs for a 6-2, victory for the Expos. Expos and the lots went to Mike Simpson of the Kit- chener Dodgers who was relieved in the sixth by Dave Houston.
