This year, the Federated Appeal is working to reach a goal of $951,000 to support its 31 member agencies. Formed in 1941, its purpose as a one campaign for voluntary contriâ€" bution is to support a broad range of community services. Kâ€" W Counselling Services This organization offers a confidential professional counselling service to individuals and families on matters related to marital problems, personality difficulties, parentâ€" child conflict, budgeting and other problems requiring proâ€" fessional counselling services. Kidney Foundation ‘Their program centres around working with kidney paâ€" tients at the Kitchenerâ€"Waterloo Hospital in addition to furthering national research and general information reâ€" lating to kidney disease. Canadian Arthritis Society Provides treatment to referred arthritis patients in the Centre or at home. Carries on research and education reâ€" garding this disease. The centre is a combined venture of the Jewish, Roman Catholic and Protestant religious groups which was esâ€" tablished to offer pastoral counselling to individuals, couâ€" ples and families. John Howard Society Provides services to men and women in prison and after release, and to their families; counsels parents; teachers and youngsters on current social problems:; works with government on penal reform and community health.
