The seventh annual Christ- mas toy drive sponsored by fHYM Radio and Zehrs SMarkets Ltd. has been ex- panded this year to include a food drive for needy fami- lies in Waterloo Region. Annual toy and food drive will help destitute families The food campaign was undertaken this year to as- sist the Christmas hamper distribution program of the The 1975 Christmas Seal Campaign for Waterloo Region was formally open- ed recently by Jack Young, regional chairman. Mr. Young is also honorary president of the Waterloo Regional Lung Association. Hand delivery of almost 108,000 letters containing seals has just been com- pleted in the region. Mr. Reid added that the lung association has only received $18,000 so far this year as compared to $42.- 999 at the same time last year. The association de- pends almost completely on the mail service for donations and hopes that those concerned with fight- ing respiratory diseases will respond quickly to this appeal now that the post office staff is back at work. ' Buy Christmas seals Salvation Army. Because of the postal strike, cash donations for the Salva- tion Army's annual food distribution program have fallen off considerably.
