Most of the books had no _ real beneficial value for kids. To fill the gap. they began writing what they felt was needed in educational books. They had no money for publishâ€" ing. The need for books that help a child cope with the varied _ lifestyles _ caused by his parents was the catalyst for Before We Are Six. Books such as Minoo‘s Family, Irene‘s Idea, and When I Visit Daddy Or Daddy Visits Me are part of the published list of Before We Are Six and deal with subjects that a child has trouble coping with. _ Divorce, adoption, selfishness and even death are dealt with in a form easily related to by a child.
