A trend towards an inâ€" creasing percentage of woâ€" men applying, being adâ€" mitted and returning for higher years has been noted at the University of Waterâ€" loo. ' Of its total registered apâ€" plicants, there has been a five per cent increase in female students over the past four years. "It suggests a real trend toâ€" wards an increasing numâ€" ber of female students. I don‘t know if the situation is similar in other universâ€" ities." Dr. Matthews pointed out in a press conference last Friday that the inâ€" crease could be attributed to a variety of reasons, inâ€" cluding _ the _ university‘s brochure â€" which â€" emphaâ€" sizes women are accepted in its courses.
