Mocha Almond Torte Ya cups of cocoa 2/3 cup of boiling water 1 cup sifted aliâ€"purpose flour 1 cup of sugar 2 teaspoons of baking flour & teaspoon of salt 5 egg whites VÂ¥ teaspoon of cream of tartar 1/3 cup of sugar 1/3 cup of oil about % of a pound 5 tablespoons of butter 5 tablespoons of flour & teaspoon of salt Ya teaspoon of pepper YÂ¥ teaspoon of dry mustard 1% cups of milk % cup of grated cheddar cheese Trim the broccoli and then stand it upright, the stem ends down, in one inch of boiling water. Sprinkle with salt and then cover and cook gently until almost tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and then divide into 12 portions. Roll a ham slice around each portion and then arrange the portions in a greased baking dish. 4 of a teaspoon of salt 12 slices of cooked ham, Beat the egg whites and the cream of tartar until soft peaks form and then adding gradually beat in 1/3 cup of sugar until the peaks stiffen. Invert cake and allow to cool. Make a well in the dry ingredients and then add the oil, egg yolks, vanilla and cocoa mixture. Beat until smooth and fold into merâ€" 5 tablespoons of butter 3 egg yolks 1 tablespoon of instant coffee 1 cup of icing sugar & pint, about 1%4 cups, of whipping cream, whipped Combine all the ingrediâ€" ents except the whipping cream and then beat until it is smooth and creamy. Fold the mixture into the whipped cream. Heat the sugar until it melits and turns golden in color. Stir in the almonds and then pour mixture onto a greased baking sheet, spreading evenly. Allow to cool and then break into small pieces. Sprinkle over the cake. Yield is about 10 servings. 5 egg yolks & teaspoon of vanilla Combine the cocoa and boiling water then allow to cool. Sift the flour, one cup of sugar, the baking powder and the salt together. Trim the outer edge of the cake layers if they are unâ€" even.
