Second issue for Olympic stamps P e badi oC 4 * & 7 e l “’ “,44 s Canada 8 J Canada 8 A total of 60 million stamps is being issued in one colour steel engraving by Canadian Bank Note Comâ€" pany. This new issue of Olympic stamps utilizes a new engraving technique to produce a latent or hidden image of the Olympic symbol in the stamp. This is the first time that this technique has ever been used in the printing of postage stamps anywhere in the world. Sponsored by the Kâ€"W Field Naturalist Club Inc Of the first two stamps, one depicts children diving from a rock and the other youths hiking. A family cycling, and adults jogging, portrayed on the second two stamps, were photographed by Crombie McNeill for Information Canada. "As a Canadian and as Postmaster General, I am proud that we are able to participate in bringing the XXI Olympics to our country. These series of stamps may help Canadians to appreciate that ‘a healthy mind is indeed found in a healthy body‘," said Mr. Ouellet. The Chiricahua Mountain Range in southâ€"eastern Arizona holds more varied wildlife, vegetation. and climate than any other area of comparable size on the North American continent. Moving vertically up the mountain range is like travelling through all the climatic vamations there can be between dry desert and cold, green forests of spruceâ€"firs. The wildlife here is abundant,. and the film weaves through this amalgam of life, a land which was once the homeland of the Chirâ€" cahua Apaches Postmaster General Andre Ouellet recently anâ€" nounced the issue of four eightâ€"cent Olympic comâ€" memorative stamps, the second issue of the special Olympic series. These stamps, to be issued on 22 March reflect Canadians‘ participation and enjoyment in typically Canadian summer activities. 3 Stylists to serve you: RON LITWILLER ® RICK VEZZA ® RAY BASIC Lincoln Paza (Corner Lincoln Rd. & Weber) Waterloo RON‘S HAIRSTYLING for MEN Hairstyling â€" Shag cuts All the latest styles ># ‘*Your hair the way you want it we feature the men‘s line of REDKEN products Waterloo Collegiate Auditorium Friday, March 15, 1974 ‘"Sky Island: Arizona‘s Chiricahua Mountain Range" A U D U B O N WILDLIFE FILM ROBERT FULTZ In person, presents Adult. .. $1.75 Junior $.50 8 :15 p.m. TICKETS tions of Jehovah‘s Witnessâ€" es will be among 600 delâ€" egates from the area who will assemble in Elmira Disâ€" trict Secondary School on March 16 and 17, for their spring circuit convention .
