Don‘t put hard boiled eggs in a microwave oven. Many of the microwave ovens in cafeterias have signs to this effect, but a girl in a plant lunch room found out the hard way. She put two shelled hardâ€" boiled eggs in the oven for a quick warmâ€"up. They hadn‘t been in very long and were not hot to the touch when she bit into one. But at that moment, an explosion ripped the egg apart, sendâ€" ing yolk all over the place, burning her eyelids, lips, tongue and cheek. The microwave oven had heated the yolk to the point where it was rapidly expandâ€" ing and the hard white of the egg was just strong enough to hold it intact until the girl bit into it. Remember, canned food or anything that has a nonâ€" porous casing â€" even an egg â€" should not be warmed in such an oven. 9 EXPLODING EGGS #% K ~€F KITCHENER WATERLOO 2255 Kingsway Road (formerly King St East) One mile west of Fairview Shopping Centre: adjacent to the express way 745_009 1 © Power © Luxury © Performance ©@ Style . ..
