this season was by far the most successful in the past seven years. Firstly, there were more partiâ€" cipators than ever. Secondly, there was more ice time. Thirdly, and most importantly, the attenâ€" tion to and the development of characterâ€"building and sportsâ€" manship in the house leagues, in all divisions, was excellent. To top it all, in four of the five divisions the Waterloo allstar teams advanced to the semiâ€"finals in the Ontario Minor Hockey Asâ€" sociation. Quite an achieveâ€" ment‘ The results of the juvenile and midget teams were well reported in The Chronicle. Following are a few short comâ€" ments re the other two teams. In regards to the bantam team they lost by two defeats and two ties. In the I certainly enjoyed the extensive space devoted by The Chronicle to the activities of the Waterloo Minor Hockey Association during the past season. And may I add that the overall news topics in The Chronicle are a pleasant reâ€" lief from the negative and distorâ€" ted frictions, so luridly featured by the other media. I am sure many other parents enjoyed the interesting hockey articles, keeping them current on the constructive activities of our youth. And what a pleasure for the kids to be recoghized for poâ€" sitive activities.! s ' All of the executives, convenors, coaches, referees and seribes of the Waterloo Minor Hockey Asâ€" sociation deserve a great deal of praise for their tremendous 'volunteer efforts.
