In past years response to the Poppy fund appeal has been very good. Nevertheless it is certain that a little added effort on behalf of everyone will ensure that the canvas will be a complete success. With full coâ€"operation from all comrades who can assist I am sure our results will excell our collection of 1969. The Ladies Auxiliary does a very big job in our campaign is looking after the Industrial and the main canvassing of store outlets, etc. plus the making of lunch for all the sellers and the school children. They can certainly use all the help they can get. In creased help makes things a lot easier for everyone involved. Any new members who can help please contact Joy Preece, Poppy Chairman for the Ladies Auxiliary. The Poppy canvass requires drivers who will assist us on Thursday, Nov. 5th, Friday, Nov. 6 to transport members to the various locations to sell Poppies. More cars will be needâ€" ed on Saturday, Nov. 7th the main drive will be on this day to transport the children for making the canvas of the city. Comrades will be needed for the hotels, plus Dominion Tire canvas. Any comrades who can assist in any way, please contact Chairman Joe. Give us your full support and we will go over the top. Coin cards have been mailed to all the members. The response from the coin cards in the past has been very good but I am sure that if every member lives up to his obligation results will be alot greater Some of you will receive 2 cards but don‘t worry about this just send the one back to the branch. All donations of $2.00 or over are entitled to a receipt. In order to make it a lot easier for the committee please signify your intention if you wish a receipt. As you all know all contributions to the Poppy Fund are used exclusively for Veterans. their families and dependents who are in need POPPY DAY SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 1970 "THEY SERVED TILL DEATH, WHY NOT WE" WEAR A POPPY Waterloo | 4 King North Waterloo lll King North 144â€"5297 415 Weber North Kâ€"W Naval Veterans‘ Assn.
