DEAR DORIS â€" We moved here from another province and my husband bought a house which I disliked. He says that‘s too bad; we‘ll live in it anyway. I am lonely for my family and friends, and sometimes feel I no longer want to live. When I complain to him, he says: *‘You don‘t know how lucky you are.‘‘ When I suggest we take a holiday he says: ‘"Ohb, that is impossible. We can‘t afford it."‘ It is difficult to talk to him. 1 am seriously thinking about going back to my old home town and staying there with my two boys. He can have his house and his rock gardens and his business interests â€" which are many. Life‘s Too Short DEAR LIFE‘S â€" Loneliness is horrible. When did your commuâ€" nications break down? Has your family been filling your need for companionshipâ€" and unwittingly standing in the way of a closer walk with your lifetime mate? A man needs to be brought along; not talked about. It is an old, old story that a sociallyâ€"fatigued husband clashes with a boredomâ€"fatigued wife. It needn‘t be fatal. Try becoming the capable hostâ€" ess and mother. Start a new trend by inviting the boss and his wife for dinner. And make the best dinner you ever heard of. DEAR DORIS â€" (1) Our eldest daughter is getting married. Can you send me information on who pays for what, etc? _ (2) Is it permissible for me to wear just a wee hat or a bow with a tiny veil? (3) There are two younger sisters aged nine and 11 who are not taking part in the wedding. When would they be escorted to their seats in the church? (4) We ‘plan on having a "pretend‘‘ wedding cake on the head table and the actual fruit cake wrapped in tiny slices for serving. Do the bride and groom pass this around to all the guests, RATZ BUILDING CENTRE King St. North, Wate Hwy. 85 GERRY BINDSEIL Watertoo Chronicle â€" Thursday, July 3Q, 1970 DORIS â€" We moved Phone 745â€"4036 PAINTING and PAPERHANGING Residential â€" Commercial Member of the Ontario Association of Painting and Decorating Contractors 258 Lester St., Waterloo "All your building needs under one roof" rth, Waterloo Open Daily 8 a.m. â€" 5:30 p.m . 85 743_ 1463 Sat. till 3 p.m. COMPLETE " Building Materials and Renovations, Repairs, Additions Cottages and Homes Doris Clark or just head table guests. Tying The Knot DEAR TYING â€" (1) My 10â€"cent leaflet, ‘‘Happy the Bride the Sun Shines On,"‘ is on its way. It gives duties of bride, groom, who pays, and so on. (2) Â¥Yes. Head coverings are getting less ‘important, but they are still right for church weddings. § (- 3-)'3inétvbefore you are escorted to your seat. _ (4) To all the guests. This is becoming the accepted,, gracious way for a bridal couple to circuâ€" late and speak to every guest. Would you like my other weddâ€" ing â€"leaflet, ‘"Wedding Countâ€" Down," as well? Gives you an outline of what to do six months ahead, three months ahead, a few days abhead, and then on the big day. (Available to readers for 10 cents and a stamped, selfâ€"addressâ€" ed envelope). DEAR DORIS â€" My sister has been married for 13 years to a man who has never amounted to anything. He has had many jobs and has continually borrowed money to get by. She does day work to make ends meet. My husband and I have given him work in our firm as a salesâ€" man, but we find he reports in and then is gone for the day, spending a lot of time drinking beer in DOâ€"ITâ€"YOURSELF hotels. Yesterday our son saw him drinking beer in a tavern with a woman. If my sister were to leave him, would she qualify for welfare? They are sure to lose everything when we stop his drawing account. End Of Our Rope DEAR END â€" First she would have to sue him for nonâ€"support. Which would probably be the kind thing in the long run, because it might help to bring him to his senses. He sounds like an alcoholic to me. I‘d suggest your sister go to your nearest family counselling service for a discussion on her whole problem. NEEDS Brzustowski receives engineering award Prof. T.A. Twin City men form: company A Waterloo architect, Ronald March, is one of five Twin City men who have founded a company known as Little Five Ltd., which is currently constructing a governâ€" mentâ€"financed apartment building in Kitchener. Apartments in the building will be ready for renting next month. Rents will be about $30 lower than the average, and range from $115 to $169 a month. The building was financed under a section in the National Housing Act which allows groups of individuals to incorporate and borrow â€" lowâ€"interest mortgage money from Central Mortgage and Housing Corp. to build lowâ€" rental housing. The intent is to encourage priâ€" vate investors to take an interest in lowâ€"cost and lowâ€"rental accomâ€" modation. | zimer‘s T \ / / é câ€"â€"â€" ty â€" 2 | < | | _ I' The Elmer * fi’{/ J JITYY 1 JfIK /‘;@E) . 250 BROKEN RULE lay " l â€" ~*~~ END THE FINAL rule broken here is number Summer Safety ‘"The objective is to select young engineering professors who have not had the opportunity to gain real life engineering experiâ€" ence, and place them for 12 to 15 months in a suitable position in industry, government, or a conâ€" sulting firm,"‘ says A.H.
