If clear, close door and leave by stairâ€" way. If the corridor is filled with smoke making. it impossible to leave, remain in your suite. This may be the safest spot in a fire resistive building. Plug all vents and cracks around doors. Wet a towel for face protection. Fresh air from outside attracts the spread of fire. Open the window slightly at top and bottom to signal your position. If there‘s a balcony, stand on it, closing the door behind you. Await resene instructinna rescue instructions. If fire breaks out in your suite, call the Fire Department immediateâ€" ly.
