Not only does it prepare a young man to take part in aviation and, if necessary, in the defence of his country and its liberties, but it gives him an experience of working with others on constructive and disciplined activities which are a good training for the larger respon- sibilities of citizenship. Having missed this privilege myself by being born too soon, I have a livelier appreciation of its advantages for the youth of today, and a wholesome respect for all those who devote their time, energies atid money to providing these advantages through the Air Cadet League of Canada.
