He is actively involved in continuing industrial expanâ€" sion. â€" _ He established a unit levy for new subdivisions so that Waterloo tax payers will not have to pay the full price of growth. â€" _ He promoted a policy of street widenings and extensions to keep pace with the growth of the community. â€"â€" He was the first in the area to promote a regional government for the Waterloo Area. He strongly favours a revamping off our preâ€" sent system so that we might take advantage of economies‘resulting from larger units of government. He is not tied down to a salaried job (selfâ€"employed in his own business) and is the ONLY MAN WHO CAN GIVE THE MAYOR‘S DUTIES THE TIME AND EXPERIENCE THEY DESERVE. â€" _ He was instrumental in the development of the city‘s recent purâ€" chase of 25 acres of park land, the construction of a new library, chapel, fire hall, bandshell and swimming pool. â€" _ He took positive action with every transportation difficulty durâ€" ing his term of office resulting in a doubling of the miles travelled and passengers carried by Waterloo Gas buses. â€"â€" _ Waterloo‘s Mayor for the past 2 years and a member of Waterloo City Council for 8 consecutive years. He is free to devote time and energy to the task of being Mayor. bLOMMLG t0OGs C HIL D RE NS WE A AR Art Paleeczny has been a real part of the growth years of Waterloo.
