During the Tatter part of the war, the German V2s again whetted his fascination with thoughts of space travel. He likens the present period â€" of space probing to the model T era of the automobile. It was this interest in space â€" travel, coupled with his second hobby, astronomy, that brought _ about what is now his first hobby, painting the vehicle used for space probes and the planets. He has completed about 35 such pictures and it is his intention to paint every known planet.
