Tuesday, March 1, is "Militia" night so the general meeting will be short and will start at 8:30 p.m. sharp. The training program was made possible by a grant of some $65,000 which the Legion received from the Dept. of Na tional Health and Welfare. The grant also covers the Legion‘s mational clinic for coaches to be held at Guelph University, Aug. 16â€"26. The third aspect of the program is a number of clinics to be conducted on a regional basis. Selection of the athletes will be made by the A.A. U of C and will be based largely on potenâ€" tial. This will be the first naâ€" tional clinic the Legion has opâ€" erated for athletes in five years, and it will be considerably more thorough than the original clinics of the 50‘s.
