Programs are built around a very simple camp Jife. Scenic and educational trips are usualâ€" Iy arranged by the host camp. There is, of course, respect for individual religious beliefs. Delegates consist of four elâ€" I feel that CISV plays a very important role in expanding inâ€" ternational knowledge and unâ€" derstanding in our community. It appears to me that people in this area have little knowledge of CISV and in my essay I would like to stimulate interest and to recognize the work of the local branch. The Children‘s International Summer Village was founded in 1946 by Dr. Doris Allen, as:â€" sociate professor of psychology at the University of Cincinnati. Two Waterloo girls, Donna and Geraldine Zahra, won the" open accordion duet class at the Fesâ€" tival. These children are learning to understand foreign customs and cultures, and they are learâ€" ning to adapt this knowledge to their own background and exâ€" perience.
