The evening was spent in playing bunco and miscellaneâ€" ous gifts were presented to the bride in a prettily decorated wheelbarrow. Lunch was served. On Sept. 29th Mrs. James Rieck, Mrs. Walter Rieck and Mrs. Geo. Rieck entertained friends and reâ€" latives at the latter‘s home. The ladies spent the evening making a bride‘s book. A mirror was presented to Miss Eckstein. Closing prayer was given by Mrs. Roy Hamacher. & Newsy Notes. The funeral of the late Mrs. Wm. H. Egerdee which was held at the Lutheran Church, New Dundee, on Sunday afternoon, was largely attended by relatives and friends. s church service on Sunday mornâ€" ing as the pastor, Rev. Kauth had‘ the misfortune to fall and injure his back. *The Wilmot Communitg Fireâ€" side service was held at the Wilâ€" mot Centre Evangelical United Brethren Church on Sunday evenâ€" ing. Mr. Oliver Bean, New Dunâ€" dee, was chairman and Rev. J. H. Good, also of New Dundee was song leader. Mrs. Frank Toman presided at the piano. Miss Miriâ€" am Hilborn of New Dundee was the soloist. The chairman introâ€" duced the guest speaker of the evening who was Prof. Lyness Wark of Emmanuel Bible College, iKitchener. He gave a very interâ€" esting sermon on the life of Jaâ€" cob. Mr. K. Nicholson and Mr. Roy Hamacher offered prayer during the meeting. The,next meeting will be held on October 26th at the Rosebank Brethren in Christ Church.
