Another woman vendor who started out with 50 had two left in a very short time. The situation was the same throughout the market. Vendors reported Saturday morning‘s sale as the "bi;tefl. in years". Head turkeys were priced at 75 cents â€" generally â€" with . some marked at 80 and others at 73. _ Geese also enjoyed a rapid sale and sold at 65 cents a pound.
