The meetings will conclude on Sunday night. The monthly meeting of the United Brethren W.M.A. was held Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. J. A. Pickard. Mrs. Melâ€" vin Becker was in charge of the Prayer Band and the devotional program which had as its theme, "Mothcrhood". Scripture lesson was read by Miss M. Becker after which Mrs. Ross Perrin gave a reading "The Woman Beautiful". Mrs. C. Swartz and Mrs. J. Tunn song a duct "My Mother‘s Bible" and the leader gave splendid thoughts on the theme. A misâ€" sionary qujz was conducted and Mrs. Pickard read an article, "Inâ€" troducing the Bakers"â€"outgoing missionaries. _ Mrs. C. Hallman contributed a reading. President Mrs Shelby was in charge of the business and rol call was answerâ€" ed with the name of a Bible moâ€" ther Twenty pupils from the local school took part in the Wellingâ€" tonâ€"Waterloo Music Festival held at Kitchener last week. All singâ€" ing in the mass chorus were rated superior or excellent. The two part enscmble "A Cradle Song" was â€" graded â€" excellent. . Taking part in it were Geraldine Becker, Elains PErubacher, Donna Fried. Jean Snyder, Marie Brown and Edna Hilborn. A duet "Venice" sung by Donna Fried and Jean Snyder was classed "very excelâ€" lent". On Saturday two little soâ€" loist<, Rose Marie Holtzhauer and Barry Hallman who sang "The Star Child" and "The Little Elâ€" man" were given the classification of excillent and good, respectiveâ€" Iy. The EY.F. withdrew their reâ€" gular meeting on Sunday night in favor of the closing night of the Fireside Evangelistic services at New Dundee. Mrs. C. Swartz closed the meetâ€" ing with prayer.
