Harmer (Chroniele Cortespondent) Plattsville Boys Arrive Home from Overseas Returning to Canada on the Niew Amsterdam liner, two more Plattsâ€" ville boys arrived at their homes here. Pte. Edward Fenn, {oungest son of Mr. and Mrs. Gillis Fenn was met by his family at London on Tuesday. Enlisting in March, 1943, he received his training at Chatham, Ipperwash, Detroit and Sidney, Nova Scotia, and Camp Borden. haxr.I in May of this year. She was married to Rev. F. $. Spies of the Evanâ€" gelical Conference in 1880 and took up residence in Goderich. In 1915 the family moved to the Canadian West where Rev. Mr. Spies passed uvnfltnluo. Mrs. Spies came east to live with her sonâ€"inâ€"law and was made in the Sand Hill Cemeâ€" tery at Heidelberg. He went overseas in October, 1944, and after spending three weeks in England, went to Iuly, later to France, Belgium and Holâ€" land, and was in the latter country when peace was declared. He reâ€" turned to England the latter part of August ang while there met his brother, Graham, Allan Bourne and Jim Stewart. On the boat coming home he met WO2. Jack McLean, former banker here. He is now spending 36 days leave here. Craftsman Tom Ellis Arrives Crafisman Tom Ellis arrived at the home of his sister, Mrs. Eldâ€" ridge Stewart, on Tuesday, Sept. I1, after spending more than four years overseas. He enlisted at London, July 1, 1940, and trained at Clmgh Borden. He was transferred to the Three Rivers Tank Re‘i‘men( to go overâ€" seas. In June 1941 he went overâ€" seas and spent two years trnlnlv:s there. He was lmonfl the first take part in the Sicilian invasion and later went to Italy.
